White Stripes’ Jack White Writes Poem Honoring Detroit
Born and raised in southwest Detroit, Jack White has said this year that he was sick of the city's "scene." apparently, he was referring to the music picture and not the city and it's people. To turn out this he has written a heartfelt poem exclusively looking for Detroit Free throng about the town and its inhabitants; putting to ease any critics who say he turned his overdue on his hometown.
The ode is titled daring Dream's Concern, and it is quite good. It has a longing fantasy-like quality to it.
Here is an citation from the ending of the verse:
Detroit, you hold up what in unison's been seeking,
Holding off the poltroon-armies mollycoddle,
Always rising from the ashes
not returning to the earth.I so bang your basics that burns
That in your people's heart yearns
To perpetuate,
and permeate,
the hermit-like dream that does encapsulate,
Your spirit, that God insulates,
With courageous dream's concern.
