Folk Musical Instruments

Instead of tabla, race musicians use drums in their music. principal drums which are not refined like dholak, daf or nal are commonly used in folk music.  The instruments normally utilized in folk music are Dotar, Ektar, Saringda, Santur and Rabab. Interestingly these instruments are even Steven named differently depending upon peculiar cant.  distinctiveness is such that there are innumerable instruments which are used only in demanding folk styles in spelt regions.  Most of these riveting instruments are made up of normally existing substances

 

Commonly used tribe musical instruments are:-

 

Dhol - large barrel drum

Bansuri - bamboo flute

Dotar - simple lute

Kartal - vacant clappers

Chimpta - light a fire under tongs

Dholki - barrel drum

Daf - entrap drum

Ghungharu - trifling bells

Dholak - barrel drum

Ektar - dense lute

Gettuvadyam - hammered lute

Magadi Vina - bamboo lute

Ghatam - clay kettle

Khol - clay drum

Murchang - jaw harp

Naggada - kettle drums

Nakula - bamboo lute

Rabab - lute

Santur - hammered dulcimer

Pung - drum

Gopichand - everybody stringed contract

Pungi - bend charmer's implement

Pena - dull-witted one string bowed instrument

Damaru - hourglass drum

Saringda - simple fiddle

Shankh - conch spend

Idakka and Udaku - hourglass drums

Thanthi Panai - pot drum
